Today September 15, 2014 - its Malaysia Day. The Google Doodle organised a competition for Google Malaysia homepage. The winner of the Doodle 4 Google Malaysia winners doodle were judged by age groups 7 – 9 years old, 10 – 12 years old, 13 – 15 years old and 16 – 17 years old students.
The Doodle 4 Google Judging criteria included:
- Artistic Merit: The quality and skill demonstrated in the doodle. The student’s age group is considered when evaluating this category.
- Creativity: How well the student incorporated the Google logo into his or her illustration. The logo must be readable. Unique and creative uses of the letters, background, foreground, etc. are all taken into account.
- Theme Communication: How clearly the competition theme is expressed in both the artwork and the written statement.
The entries for the Doodle 4 Google Malaysia ended on July 15, 2014 and public voting started on August 15, 2014 and the winners were announced on September 8, 2014. The 2014 Doodle 4 Google overall winner is Lee Yee Run, Sekinchan, Selangor with the “Beauty of Malaysia” Doodle 4 Google.
